Jason B. Godwin


Jason B. Godwin is the founding member of the Godwin Law Group. Mr. Godwin is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Washington D.C. Bar, the State Bar of Alabama, and the State Bar of Tennessee.
Mr. Godwin has experience in trying cases both in State and Federal courts in all these locations.

Mr. Godwin obtained an undergraduate degree in International Affairs from the Georgia Institute of Technology. During that time, Mr. Godwin was a letterman on the Georgia Tech football team.
Mr. Godwin later earned a Master’s degree from Georgia Tech in Public Policy, while serving on the Georgia Tech football staff.

In 2002, Mr. Godwin began attending the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University where he was in the top 15% of his first year class. He then transferred to the Georgia State University School of Law where he ultimately obtained his Juris Doctor degree.

During his litigation career, Mr. Godwin represented his clients in the Magistrate, State and Superior Courts of the entire State of Georgia and has been lead counsel in litigation throughout all the states in which he is admitted to practice. Mr. Godwin has successfully represented clients in seven (10) jury trials. He has also helped many through both voluntary mediations and binding arbitrations. Mr. Godwin has vast experience in representing both plaintiffs and defendants in many different areas of litigation, including, but not limited to, securities fraud, general civil and corporate litigation, tort claims, lender and foreclosure related litigation, wrongful death, contracts, estate litigation and landlord/tenant disputes.
